Description of your program:  Damascus offers staffing services to companies interested and open to hiring restored citizens, or citizens with criminal records. The organization prepares men and women for the workforce with job training, counseling and even transportation assistance to ensure success of clients.

With its not-for-profit status, Damascus works at lower rates than typical staffing agencies and works with companies on the vetting process, if a company is uncomfortable with certain backgrounds.

Description of your program:  The Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) is a Federal tax credit available to employers for hiring individuals from certain target groups who have consistently faced significant barriers to employment. The tax credit is administered through the local Jobs & Family Services/OhioMeansJobs Center.
