In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Delaware County Commissioners created the Delaware County Economic Recovery Advisory Team to assist county businesses with reopening as Ohio comes out of the stay-at-home quarantine.

The Advisory Team members include:

  • Pat Tiberi, President and CEO of the Ohio Business Roundtable and a former U.S. Congressman
  • Troy Balderson, U.S. Congressman, 12th District, Ohio
  • Bill Bishop, local businessman and chairman of the Delaware County Finance Authority
  • Rick Carfagna, State Representative, 68th District of the Ohio House of Representatives
  • Don Rankey, local businessman and the Republican candidate for Delaware County Treasurer
  • Steve Cuckler, a partner with Taft Stettinius and Hollister and chairman of the Delaware County Republican Party
  • Michael Frommer, Delaware County Administrator
  • Bob Lamb, Delaware County Economic Development Director

The Advisory Team confers frequently and meets online each week to discuss the economic-recovery initiatives being developed to aid Delaware County residents and business owners navigate the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic.

OH_16355 EIDL Fact Sheet

Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) – SBA disaster loan

  • Will be a direct loan from the Treasury, not through banks
  • Banks with existing loans have been authorized to defer payments for up to 6 months
  • EIDL will be administered by ODA
  • If a business utilizes the loan, it will not prohibit them from receiving other Fed assistance
  • SBA is not planning a loan forgiveness structure at this point

SBA Loan structure is as follows:

  • 3.7% up to 30 years
  • Up to $25K unsecured, can be more with addition underwriting/approval
  • Requires a 2 year lookback with eligibility of less than $5M in annual net profits and less than $15M in Net Worth
  • Turnaround from application is expected to be 30 days
