Hello again, Loyal Readers!

Today we would like to talk about a big success that Delaware County Economic Development has enjoyed in the last year and that’s ATS Automation Tooling Systems Inc. combining two of its regional buildings into one location here in Delaware County–and in Lewis Center, to be specific. It’s a 25-acre lot that will be home to approximately 145 jobs at the time of this writing. This whole project is a $17 million investment for the company.

ATS is a firm that helps other companies solve operational problems through automation. From pre-production to post-production, if there’s a solution to your problem, ATS will find it. Founded in 1978, this international company has about 4,300 workers worldwide, including the U.S., China, and other countries.

ATS will reside in is a business district known as Creekside Business Park, which is a project made possible by the Delaware County Commissioners, Delaware County Economic Development, the Delaware County Finance Authority and many other public and private groups. In partnership with all these groups, the County was able to offer investment incentives at no additional cost to the taxpayer. This district will see more development over the course of the coming years so there’s even more investment in our community to look forward to.

Below we link some additional articles that talk a little bit more about ATS, including quotes from CEO Andrew Hider and from Bob Lamb, Delaware County’s Economic Development Director.
